You can send your littles ones to Nafferton Primary School, which has an Outstanding Ofsted rating  and is always putting on new and interesting activities for their pupils.

Your nearest Secondary School is in Driffield. There’s a regular bus service so your children will have no trouble getting there. There’s even free twilight buses for pupils returning from after-school activities on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.

Just 3 miles from the Market Town of Driffield, 19 miles from the historic town of Beverley (where you’ll find a Minster, Racecourse and shopping) and only 30 miles from Hull – the 2017 City of Culture – and the historic City of York, you’ll never be short of things to do in Nafferton.

The village has its own Beavers, Guides, Cubs and Scout groups, along with Women’s Institute meetings, a knit and natter club and under 5 play sessions. For more take a look at the Parish Council website.

For those who enjoy running and cycling, you’ll be pleased to know that Nafferton is on the route of the Way of the Roses coast-to-coast cycleway and the Yorkshire Wolds Half Marathon takes place each year in nearby Bishop Wilton.

There’s also Driffield Golf Club which boasts a beautiful parkland course.

Village Life & Travel Links

You’ll find a Post Office, newsagent, supermarket, fish and chip shop and a petrol station all on your doorstep.

Nafferton is easy to find via the A166 and A165 and is around 40 minutes from Howden off the M62, and 40 mins from the A64 York.

The village has a railway station with regular services to Bridlington, Beverley and Hull. You can also hop on the train to Scarborough, Doncaster, Meadowhall and Sheffield. If you drive to Malton Station (30 mins away) there’s secure and reasonably-priced car park, allowing you to get the train to York then on to Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool.

There are buses to Beverley, Hull, Bridlington, Scarborough and York.
